Kristen Brown's article in the San Francisco Chronicle this morning brought up a very interesting point.  We need to be careful not to replace one stereotype with another.  If we are trying to dispel the stereotype that a computer science engineer is a 27 year-old white male, we should not try to attract more young women into the tech world by assuming they like pink and frilly things.  This is a must read article: Think pink? How fun to be directing a documentary film about such a relevant and timely issue: the gender gap and digital divide in computer science.  I'm proud to be part of this important movement to encourage girls and minorities to pursue education and careers in coding.
